KHAIRUL NIZAM BIN OMAR

Partner

Khairul Nizam bin Omar was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1997 after completing his pupillage under F.F. Nelson of Messrs G.F. Nelson & Co. He began his legal career at Mohd Ali & Co. and was elevated to partner on 24 August 1999.
Khairul Nizam served as a member of the Conveyancing Sub-Committee of the Johore Bar (2000–2001). His legal expertise centers on banking litigation, particularly in recovery proceedings. He possesses extensive experience in hire purchase matters, including both Conventional and Islamic frameworks. His deep understanding in this area enables him to address the diverse and urgent needs of his clients effectively. He has also delivered talks and lectures on Hire Purchase and Banking Litigation to banking professionals.
Over the years, Khairul Nizam has handled a wide range of complex litigation cases related to hire purchase and has provided counsel to leading banks and financial institutions on matters involving motor vehicles.
In his leisure time, he enjoys golfing.
Khairul Nizam received his early education at the Royal Military College, Kuala Lumpur, and earned his LLB (Hons) from the University of Malaya in 1996.

ROHANA BINTI HARON

Partner

Rohana binti Haron obtained her LLB (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 1995. She joined the firm in 1997 and was promoted to Partner in 1999.
Professional Background
Before joining the firm, Rohana served as a Legal Assistant with the Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru, where she was responsible for supervising enforcement and prosecution of various offences under local government laws, acts, regulations, and by-laws. Her role also included drafting by-laws, reviewing and advising on agreements such as joint ventures, privatizations, and tenders, conducting legal training for enforcement officers, and providing general legal advice on local government laws and regulations.
Current Role and Expertise
Rohana currently leads the firm’s Conveyancing Department, where she oversees a diverse range of legal work in corporate financing, project financing, privatization, property, and commercial transactions. Her expertise spans general conveyancing and corporate law, including drafting corporate agreements, providing legal advisory services, structuring joint ventures, managing tenancies and leases, handling real estate matters, wills and probate, family law, property acquisitions and disposals, and preparing related banking documentation.
Additional Contributions
Rohana’s extensive experience in local government laws has made her a sought-after speaker and trainer. She has been invited to conduct legal classes and talks and provide legal opinions for various local government bodies. She also handles civil litigation cases for local governments, particularly in the recovery of assessment arrears.
